At first glance the SBS website seems daunting to navigate for the sheer volume of material that's on offer to look at and to read. I mention the SBS website (www.sbs.com.au) as it is initially through its portals that you can access all the programs and short grabs from Global Village before you get them directly from our website.

To begin with all our episodes (or programs elsewhere on SBS) are listed in the bar beneath the SBS banner with the words: WATCH FULL EPISODES. Click on it to open the video player and its 3 selections: SNEAK PEEK (on the menu here you'll see the 2 minute grab from my Blog) FULL EPISODES (this features all the GLOBAL VILLAGE episodes from that week including the extended versions). WEB EXTRAS has nothing to do with GLOBAL VILLGE, at this stage anyway. Then right at the end of the bar is BLOGS. Click this to take you to the Blog directory where you'll find GLOBAL VILLAGE and THALASSA.

You can find the Global Village web site also on the SBS Home page next to WATCH FULL EPISODES.  It's labelled ON TV. Click this and an online menu will drop where you'll see a link to GLOBAL VILLAGE.

You can bypass the SBS Home page by typing our URL in the address bar (sbs.com.au/globalvillage) to take you there directly. One you've reached us it gets a little trickier.

You'll see the BLUE BAR underneath my picture with the days of the week listed. Each day features the synopsis for the GLOBAL VILLAGE episode of that day and space for your comments. When the program goes to air, the picture will be taken off and just your comments will remain. However the synopses will then be transferred in the EPISODE SYNOPSES box.

Then comes - VIDEO. Click on this word to bring up the same player you accessed from the SBS Home page but here you'll only find the full episodes from GLOBAL VILLAGE. This is where all our episodes are available to you for one week after they've been to air, after which they'll be taken off. You won't find them in the ARCHIVE. Here is also where you'll also find the extended, uncut versions of GV episodes.

If you click on BLOG it'll take you to the directory containing the last 9 or so of my Blogs. Each one also has space for your comments.

Where people get confused, I think, is that the Blog features a 2-minute grab from the program. This short grab appears everywhere you see SNEAK PEEK. Once that episode has gone to air, the 2 minute grab will disappear form SNEAK PEEK as well as from the Blog. In its space on the Blog you'll see something which says "SORRY THIS VIDEO (i.e. 2-min. grab) IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE". It does not refer to the full episode. Blogs are updated each Thursday.

And just in case all the above is a bit too much for you to navigate through, look above my head on the GV Home page and you'll see the same bar I mentioned earlier located on the SBS Home page. It has all those choices for you yet again: WATCH FULL EPISODES, ON TV, NEWS and so on to…BLOGS. Happy navigating!
