Visions of Israel Pt.2

Israel as seen from the air.

Beginning in Tel Aviv at Ben Gurion Airport, this documentary takes a circular flight of Israel, heading up the coast past the historic centres of Joppa and Acre as well as the bustling, vibrant commercial centre of Tel Aviv.
From here we head to Mount Carmel, the huge shipping port of Haifa, and then to the Golan Heights and Hula Valley, the most lush area of Israel, and its current bread basket.
We then travel along the Jordan to the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea and then the new resort town of Eilat, on the Red Sea, before heading via the Negev back to finish the journey in Jerusalem.
While bringing out the astounding visual beauty and variety of the country, the program also concentrates on the optimism and vibrancy of Israeli society, its “modest hedonism”, a product to some extent of the danger in which the population lives.
