In each episode we visit the historical and cultural highlights that mark the region. The series portrays the intricate relationship between the locals and the sea.

From Saint-Christoly-Médoc to Hendaye Pt.1
In this final visit to France's coastline on the Atlantic side before we head for the Mediterranean the following week, we discover the wine-growing region by the Gironde estuary, look in on the stabilisation of sand dunes in Aquitaine and discover eco-houses in Cap Ferret.
Naturism (nude bathing) is very big in France and the beaches of Landes attract some of the biggest numbers of naturists in Europe! We'll go surfcasting in the Bassin d'Arcachon and look in on Forestry and the paper industry in the Landes Forest. And as we near Spain we'll go surfing and fishing on the Basque coast before sampling is renowned cuisine. We leave the Basque coast after examining its geological formations and architecture.
