The Saint Brandon Archipelago - Many fishermen from Mauritius choose to go and work in Saint Brandon - an archipelago three days away by boat from Mauritius - for three to twelve months at a time because work opportunities are few and far between in Mauritius. A private company, Raphael Fishing, has been licensed to fish the water around the islands since 1927. But life on the idyllic islands is not always easy. The men can't bring their families, and no women and alcohol are allowed. Lois, 89, spent 59 years working at St Brandon, leaving his wife and children in Mauritius for months at a time - which was very hard for his children. In 1977, three men in frocks became an overnight sensation on Italian television. Irreverent, sexy and outrageous, they were Le Sorelle Bandiera - The Flag Sisters. Out of drag, they were Tito Le Duc (a Mexican), Mauro Bronchi (an Italian) and Neil Hansen, a boy from Perth, Western Australia. The Fabulous Flag Sisters tells the story of how a boy from Oz became an Italian superstar - in a frock. With countless TV appearances, feature films and national tours, The Flag Sisters were high flying and adored, the paparazzi forever snapping at their high heels. They brought joy to millions of fans at a time when Italy was on the verge of nervous breakdown as the Red Brigades and other radical groups terrorized the nation. In September 2007, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the 'birth' of The Flag Sisters, Australian Sister Neil Hansen returned to Italy to reveal the intriguing story behind their glittering success. Filmed on location in Australia and Italy, the program features extensive archival footage, along with some of Italy's showbiz greats, including Renzo Arbore, Roberto Benigni and Isabella Rossellini. Resistance - Among the ranks of the Wehrmacht there was limited opposition to Hitler. Most officers initially felt enthusiastic about the prospect of war and were grateful to Hitler whose war-mongering had furthered their personal careers. Furthermore all soldiers had to make an oath of allegiance to the Führer and, up until the very end, there were many who felt unable to break this pledge. There were, however, some officers who opposed Hitler. For some it was on moral grounds and for others because they thought that his military tactics would lose them the war. There were plots against Hitler and attempted coups, the best known being the July bomb plot led by Claus von Stauffenberg. Some soldiers refused to bear arms and were shot, others deserted, others still carried out quiet acts of sabotage and subversion. By and large, however, the Wehrmacht carried out the orders Hitler issued, even if it involved perpetrating acts of atrocity. She ends up in a cramped flat with a bunch of Western bar hostesses of different nationalities and gets a job at their club. To escape life as the object of Japanese men's sexual desires Angela loses herself in the manga strip she's producing about her heroic adventures in Tokyo and the mystery of a missing hostess.
