The New York-based group, Human Rights Watch, says more than 30 Ethiopian Christians face deportation from Saudi Arabia.
A New York-based human rights organisation says more than 30 Ethiopian Christians face deportation from Saudi Arabia, after authorities reportedly raided a prayer meeting in a private home late last year.
Human Rights Watch says the male and female migrant workers have been arrested and are being held in prisons around the country.
It claims some have been subject to beatings and strip searches while in detention.
Executive director of the Middle East and North Africa divison Sarah Lee Whitson told Kristina Kukolja members of the group have been accused of what is known as "illegal mingling" -- an offence under Sharia law.
