Italský režisér Guiseppe Tormatore zabodoval filmem The Best Offer v hlavní roli s vynikajícím australským hercem Goeffreym Rushem. Děj se odehrává ve Vídni a částečně v Praze.
Jde o film mnoha metafor, uvedl Rush na tiskové konferenci po projekci a dodal: "The film starts in Vienna, which is the home of Freud and it ends up in Prague which is the home of Kafka."
