In Europa herrscht in diesen Tagen Eiszeit. Die Meteorologen sprechen vom kältesten Februar seit 1987. Vor allem im Osten des Kontinentes ist die Lage prekär. Aber auch in Deutschland ist die aktuelle Kältewelle zu spüren. Mindestens zwei Menschen starben, darunter ein Bewohner eines Seniorenheims, der auf einem Feldweg umfiel und erfror. Christian Froelicher sprach mit dem Journalisten Marcus Born in Schwerin.
