Holi Celebration

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Australia celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Holi Mahotsav starting on Friday 23 March and finishing on Sunday 25 March 2012 at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, Sydney. Nearly thousand artists performed during the festival days and represented a rich mixture of culture, spirituality and entertainment.

The festival calendar featured music, dance, theatre, film, visual arts and markets from international and Australian artists. The India Australia Friendship Fair 2010, held on August 15 at the Athletic Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, was a jubilant celebration of India's Independence Day. The event attracted around 20 000 people this year, most of them Indian Australian families out to enjoy a day rich with entertainment, including Bollywood stars, Indian, Australian and Brazilian dancers, sporting personalities, and Federal and State politicians.
