2011-ben szövetségi szinten annyi diák tett magyarból érettségit, hogy nyelvünk 3 évre lekerült a veszélyeztetett listáról. Azaz, megmaradt továbbra is pontszerző tárgynak.
A melbourne-i magyar nyelviskola ebben az évben 5 érettségiző diákkal gazdagította az országos keretet.
