ALC’s Polish broadcasters had a big day at the annual Polish Picnic in Sydney’s Darling Harbour on Sunday 2nd December, including a live broadcast of the Polish program at 13:00 and a stage show which included a quiz and special appearance by SBS TV’s, Kathy Novak.

SBS Radio’s Polish team, celebrated Christmas at the Polish Christmas Festival in Darling Harbour, and helped to present a colourful and entertaining line-up of performances. From cooking demonstrations with My Kitchen Rules winners Sammy and Bella, to traditional polish dancing it was a great day out for the people who attended.

These images were taken in Shwedagon., The Golden Pagoda in Yangoon / Myanmar ( former Burma) during The FullMoon Day in November the 10. Shwedagon., The Golden Pagoda is over 2500 years old , is the oldest and the most ancient historical Pagoda in Myanmar and in the world. The magnificent 99 meters gilded stupa dominates the old capital of Myanmar, Yangon. On the Full Moon Day (Thasaung Mong) which happens on 10 November the Szwedagong Pagoda was buzzing with crowds of ddevotees who come to pay homage to Buddha. The pilgrims, buys flowers, candles, coloured flags and streamers.
