As a part of a traditional of Maslenitsa Festival, Federation Square turned into a Slavic fair on Saturday 2nd of March. This great cultural event was organised by Russian Ethnic Representative Council (RERC) and Serbian Social Service and Support (SSSS) with support from Office of Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship, City of Melbourne, Federation Square and Embassy of Russian Federation in Australia.

The EP of the Russian program traveled to her hometown of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, to the Festival of Russian language Radio and Television outside of Russia. The name of the festival is The Broadcast Box , it is held for the sixth time and organised by the Moscow Academy of TV and Radio every year in a different city. It was the time for work and reminiscences.

SBS Russian program was proud to broadcast live from the magnificent Canberra Multicultural Festival. This year, the Russian community attractions included two concerts by the renowned Balalaika orchestra, the Russian school dancing group and as an outside event an exhibition of works of artist Galina Kizhapkina officially opened by the Ambassador of Russian Federation Vladimir Morozov.

Residents of Queensland's southern town of St George are hoping to be spared from the worst of the flood peak, still heading their way. The Balonne River is predicted to reach a record height, even higher than the record last March flood that devastated the majority of the town. Following their successful tradition, the producers of Russian TV program of Melbourne C31, Sputnik, Anna and Gregory Vaisman celebrated it's 15th anniversary at St. Kilda Town Hall with a Gala Concert of classical and popular music. It was an enchanting performance by the prominent Australian Russian musicians and their students.

The association SHALOM of Jews from the former Soviet Union, was established 30 years ago. As an organisation, it has played an integral part in successful immigration thanks to people who have generously have contributed their time and energy working for the community. The birthday celebration at St.Kilda Town Hall was completed with a great concert featuring local talent and guests from Israel.
