Tanju Yenisey

Tanju Yenisey has migrated to Australia in 1983. Before he obtained a degree from the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Boğaziçi (Bosphorus) University, Istanbul he was an active member of school newspapers / magazines during his study at High School and University.

Yenisey has also obtained a diploma on Business Application Systems from Victoria University, Melbourne and worked at managerial levels of several companies in Australia and abroad before he joined SBS Radio Turkish Program in 1987.

He was awarded the “Centenary of Federation Medal” in 2003.

Tanju Yenisey was appointed to the Executive Producer position of the SBS Radio Turkish Program in April 2011.

Bülent İbrişim

As a science graduate from Ankara University, Bülent İbrişim worked as an engineer and freelance journalist in Turkey, and migrated to Australia in 1986.

Before joining SBS, Bülent worked as a Turkish translator for the Ethnic Affairs Commission of Victoria and as a lecturer at Deakin University.

İbrişim has been working at SBS Radio Turkish Program since 1988 and performed the Executive Producer position till January 2011.

In 1996, he won Abdi Ipekci Peace Award for his interview with East Timor's joint Nobel Laureate, Jose Ramos Horta and in 1997 he won the Special Jury Award of the Turkish Journalists' Association for his radio programs on Australian history and politics.

Bülent İbrişim’s joint radio documentary, "Reaching Through the Divide" was one of the finalists in 2001 Walkley Foundation Awards for Quality Journalism and the 2004 United Nations Media Peace Awards.

Özen Özüner

Özen Özuner was migrated to Australia in the late 1970s with her family. She studied Journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney and worked in several community radios.

Özüner has joined SBS Radio Turkish Program in 1989 as a Part-Time Producer and has also worked for SBS Radio's English language current affairs program, “World View”.

Ismail Kayhan

İsmail Kayhan performed duties as a journalist in Turkey’s national print media for 12 years, and then migrated to Australia in 1996.

Before started to work as a Casual Producer with the Turkish Program at SBS Radio in 2002, he worked for a number of local Turkish community newspapers as a journalist in Melbourne.

İsmail Kayhan was appointed as a Part-Time Producer at SBS Radio Turkish Program in June 2011.

Deniz Batuk

Deniz Batuk has started his professional career in 1991 in Turkey and continued in Australia where he lived intermittently since 2001. He has worked as a journalist and in senior levels in a number of print and online media outlets including CNN Turk where Deniz performed as a Web Content Editor.

Batuk has obtained B.A. Degree on Journalism from the School of Communications, University of Istanbul, Turkey in 1996.

Deniz Batuk has started to work as a Casual Producer with SBS Radio Turkish Program in January 2011, before he was appointed as a Part-Time Producer in June 2011.

Evrim Günçe

Evrim Günçe was migrated to Australia in 1995 with her family. A year after, Evrim won a writing competition which was organised by the “University Graduates Association” in Sydney, before she obtained a degree in Bachelor of Media from Sydney Macquarie University

Evrim has started to contribute Youth Program of the SBS Radio Turkish Program in 1997. Then, in 2000, she has been selected to prepare and present radio programs in SBS Radio Turkish Program as a Casual Producer.

Before joining SBS Radio, Evrim worked as a Reporter Journalist for a local Turkish newspaper in Sydney for two years.

Nilgün Kılıç Aktağ

Nilgün Kılıç Aktağ has been working as a Casual Producer with SBS Radio Turkish Program since January 2011.

Nilgün has got extensive experience in television and video production and film editing. She also managed multiple projects in Turkey and Australia and wrote and produced corporate training videos.

Nilgün has obtained B.A. Degree on Photography from the Art Department of Stage and Image, University of 9 September, Izmir, Turkey in 1994 and is currently studying at RMIT University, Melbourne for the Master of Creative Media Degree.

Hande Ergen

Hande Ergen has started to work as a Casual Producer with SBS Radio Turkish Program in January 2011.

In her previous employment in Turkey, Hande gained three years of experience in media and communications field.

Hande has obtained Master of Communication and Media Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Monash University, Melbourne.

Şeref İşler

Şeref has started to work as a Casual Producer for SBS Radio Turkish Program in January 2011.

He has many years of experience in the media field, including co-ordinator and Deputy Chief of the English Desk with the Turkish State Radio and Television (TRT) between 2006 and 2010 before arrived to Australia.

Şeref has obtained Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada in 2006 and is currently studying at the University of Technology, Sydney for the Master of Arts Degree.
