SBS brings home gold from Promax

SBS has taken out six awards, including three Gold awards, from a total of eight nominations at the Promax BDA Awards in Los Angeles last week.

At last Friday night's PromaxBDA Promotion & Marketing World Gold Awards, SBS won two Gold, two Silver and one Bronze.

These followed last Tuesday's first award win in the PromaxBDA Design World Gold Awards, a Gold for Art Direction & Design: On Air Illustration, for one of the broadcaster's newest Brand Idents, Love Story.

Gold was awarded on Friday night for SBS's post-Ashes out of house promo and for the Mad Men viral; Silver was awarded for Dateline's news promo and for the post Ashes special event promo campaign; and Bronze was awarded for the Ashes scoreboard outdoor campaign.

The international PromaxBDA Awards recognise excellence in broadcast design and marketing.

SBS Director of Marketing Jacquie Riddell said: "The Promax Awards are an excellent forum to experience world class design and marketing work from across the global entertainment industry. Our achievements this year are yet another testament to the creative standards being set by SBS and the amazing partnership we have with our creative agency, Razor/ US Sydney.

"SBS Marketing consistently delivers innovative work that is effective across traditional and new media channels."

SBS Group Marketing Manager Katherine Raskob was in Los Angeles to represent SBS and accept these awards.
