Disappointing to hear Astana will waltz back into world tour. Possibly we only know half the story - UCI need to explain & provide clarity.

The UCI have just given a licence to ... dope https://t.co/U91oDVHsyD

Congrats, @BrianCooksonUCI, your organisation just proved it has not learned a thing from the last 5+ years. Welcome to the Credibility Gap.

More scandalous is the companies that supply Astana surely have contract clauses against doping. Those got ignored too.
It's days like these that just make us work harder for clean athletes and we simply shake our heads at those who promise change. #doping

So, cycling is now basically showbiz. Ethics be damned. I'm fine with that. At least we know where we stand. Thanks due to @BrianCooksonUCI.

The UCI has proved it's not scared of making the unpopular decisions.

So Astana stay in the World Tour. Yet we still have bans on bike cameras and sock heights. The #UCI sure do have their priorities straight...

Can't believe they need licenses to cycle in Astana but good job the Union of Cycling Internationally has seen sense so they can ride on!

Told. You. So. But said disappointedly. No change, no prospect of change and no desire to change. Time for a revolution.

Meanwhile, nothing but the sound of crickets coming from International Cycling Union chief Brian Cookson at his headquarters in Aigle, Switzerland.
