The incident took place on Morrison Rd, Midland, on Saturday and is the latest in a number of horrific incidents recorded by this recent technology. Morrison Rd is approximately 18km north-east of the Perth city centre.

The footage was shared on the Cycle Facebook page on Monday and had been seen by over 100,000 people by Wednesday morning.

"What we do know is that the car was caught up at the next lights, registration plate was collected and the police have been notified. This will be going to court," wrote Cycle, in the text accompanying the Facebook post.

"More importantly, the riders are OK, cuts, bruises and a little missing bark, but they are fine."
