Velicio-SRAM has now won all four world championship editions of the women's teams time trial despite pressure applied by the Boels-Dolmans and Rabo-Liv squads during the world championships curtain raiser.

With the team as its currently constructed set to disband ahead of the 2016 season, there was some doubt that Velicio-SRAM could make it four in a row, but they were determined to end their run with yet another victory on the 38.6km course.

It was always coing to be a three-way contest between the final top three squads and that's how the race played out with Boels-Dolmans setting a fast pace that they carried through to the finish even as Rabo-Liv rode steadily on their run.

Pepper Palace-The Happy Tooth was the first to roll out of the start gate and finished with a time of 52min 58:79sec. But that benchmark was quickly upset when the Twenty16-Sho-Air team came through in 49min 40:60sec.

That stood until Boels-Dolmans finished in 47min 41.94sec as Wiggle-Honda pushed Twenty16-Sho-Air out of a podium position.

Rabo-Liv then did the same to Wiggle-Honda with a time of 47min 21.94sec setting the stage for Velocio-SRAM.

The American team did not disappoint as they came close to catching a disorganised Orica-AIS at the finish on their way to the fastest time of the day.
