Megan Guarnier (Boels-Dolmans) produced a climbing masterclass on the Côte de Cow and Calf to win the 2018 Asda Tour de Yorkshire Women’s Race ahead of Alena Amialiusik (Canyon-SRAM) and Dani Rowe(Great Britain).

The men's race was won by Magnus Cort Nielsen (Astana) who outsprinted race favourite Greg Van Avermaet (BMC) to the line while Eduard Prades Reverter (Euskadi Basque Country-Murias)finished third.

Tour de Yorkshire Stage 1: Wild and Tanfield win
Wiggle High 5 rider Kirsten Wild was first across the finish line of Stage One of this year’s Asda Tour de Yorkshire Women’s race ahead of Amalie Dideriksen (Boels-Dolmans) and Hannah Barnes (Canyon-SRAM). Harry Tanfield (Canyon-Eisberg) surprised the men's field out of the breakaway which stuck to the finish. He outsprinted Alistair Slater (JLT Condor) and Michael Cuming (Madison Genesis).
