After taking off early in the race among a group of breakaway riders, Stephane Rossetto (Cofidis) made the best of the numerous climbs on this final day to power away on his own and claim an outstanding win in Leeds after a 120km solo break. BMC's Greg Van Avermaet took the overall after finishing second on the stage while former leader Magnus Cort Nielsen (Astana) was dropped.

Stage 3 victory for Walscheid at Yorkshire tour
Maximilian Walscheid took to victory by the sea in Scarborough. The Sunweb rider beat Overall leader Astana's Magnus Cort Nielsen and Jon Aberasturi of Euskadi-Murias to the line to claim his first success this season.

Megan Guarnier (Boels-Dolmans) produced a climbing masterclass on the Côte de Cow and Calf to win the 2018 Asda Tour de Yorkshire Women’s Race ahead of Alena Amialiusik (Canyon-SRAM) and Dani Rowe(Great Britain).
Tour de Yorkshire Stage 1: Wild and Tanfield win
Wiggle High 5 rider Kirsten Wild was first across the finish line of Stage One of this year’s Asda Tour de Yorkshire Women’s race ahead of Amalie Dideriksen (Boels-Dolmans) and Hannah Barnes (Canyon-SRAM). Harry Tanfield (Canyon-Eisberg) surprised the men's field out of the breakaway which stuck to the finish. He outsprinted Alistair Slater (JLT Condor) and Michael Cuming (Madison Genesis).
