While the team bagged five national titles in June and several top 10 placings at UCI Women's WorldTour events, a victory at an international UCI race proved elusive.

But Aude Biannic came home in four minutes and 51 seconds, also earning the team its first leader's jersey of the season.

β€œI'm so happy to have notched up the first ever UCI win for the women's team," Biannic said.

"All my team-mates are so happy to have me claiming this one, even more so our team director, Jorge Sanz. It's really a team victory, all staff members working hard for us all season.

"Everything has been like a dream for me since I won the national championships' road race. It's a way to pay everyone back for their kindness to me, their support all over the WorldTour season."

'Maybe now is not a good time to have the jersey': Yates
With his eyes on the red jersey in Madrid, Simon Yates said after Stage 10 of the 2018 La Vuelta a Espana, now might not be a good time to wear it.
