Wilco Kelderman and Rüdiger Selig were diagnosed with concussions with Andreas Schillinger currently undergoing medical evaluation. A full report on the conditions of the riders has not been released by the team.

A tweet from journalist from Daniel Benson of Cyclingnews who had been in contact with the team said that Schillinger has sustained 'fractures of the transverse processes in cervical and thoracic spine'.

The other four riders involved in the incident, Marcus Burghardt, Anton Palzer, Maximilian Schachmann, and Michael Schwarzmann, returned to the team hotel with minor injuries.

The incident occurred near the end of the team’s training camp near Lake Garda.

Unclear reports have emerged on how the vehicle came to be involved with the riders, with a team official telling Cyclingnews, "I just know that there was a car involved. Actually, the car hit them but I can’t tell you exactly what happened,” a team spokesperson said.
