The best way to earn extra brownie points is to sweeten the deal with, you guessed it, brownies!

Another day, another reason to celebrate dessert. This time we are jumping on the Brownie Day bandwagon and whether you like them fudgy, gooey, loaded with nuts or spliced with berries - we've got you covered. And if your looking for your next brownie adventures, then ice-cream cakes, brookies and miso paste need to be on your brownie-dar stat!

Ultra-fudgy

Pistachio and raspberry

These dense, gooey and chocolatey brownies are made with ground almonds and coconut sugar, so they're a little lighter but don't take that to mean flavour-less. Frozen raspberries work really well here, and in the summer you can also use pitted halved cherries as well.

Dulce de leche

This is the brownie you've been searching for all your life! Each piece is dolloped with dulce de leche and for an even more wicked dessert idea, serve it drizzled with warm (extra) dulce de leche and top with a generous scoop of vanilla ice-cream. #dietstartstomorrow

Chocolate and cherry

A little goes a long way with this boozy brownie. It's wickedly rich, unashamedly fudgy and completely over-the-top – and we wouldn't have it any other way. If brandy isn't your bag, then replace it with an orange liqueur or whiskey.

Crushin’ it

Berry trifle

Brownie cake, minted custard cream and sweetened raspberries - these trifles are a complete contradiction in terms when it comes to eating them – they are rich yet refreshing, sweet yet tart, indulgent yet light – and that’s what makes them so good.

Honeycomb ice-cream cake

Brownie base and brownie chunks - summertime entertaining just got a whole lot more exciting with this cheat's ice-cream cake.

Look to the cookie

Salted peanut brookies

It's the perfect cookie really! A hybrid of a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie – dark, rich and chewy on one side and crisp, simple and familiar on the other. All hail the brookie!

Flourless fudge

Similar to that of a brownie, these cookies have an intense cocoa flavour and a wonderful chewy texture. You can basically do this recipe with your eyes closed, but why would you want to!

Nutty preference?

Classic walnut

Rich, decadent, totally addictive and, best of all, so easy to make – what else could you want from a brownie recipe? Oh, and it's ultra-nutty!

Double-choc pecan

With a hit of toasted pecans for texture and flavour, these chewy and adorable brownies also call on both dark and milk chocolate to cover all those brownie bases.

Contains your daily veg, wait what?

Beetroot chocolate

Beetroot (beets) and chocolate are great partners. These brownies have a real decadence about them, with a great fudgy texture grounded by the earthy flavour of the beetroot.

Chocolate eggplant

Strange as it may sound, there is eggplant in this dark chocolate brownie. Definitely, don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

BFFs with...

Miso

Red miso adds an intriguingly salty note to this adored American classic. If you're partial to the salty-sweet dessert life, then take this recipe for a spin.

Cheesecake

This is what happens when cheesecake mix and brownie batter are caught canoodling...

Peanut butter

This decadent recipe pays homage to the American love of peanut butter, which is swirled through the base and added as a topping. Boom!

Bacon

Yes, we have a recipe for candied bacon brownies and this recipe packs as much crunchy goodness as it can in there to contrast with the gooey fudgy cakey bit.
