Julianne Moore is a great actress. I’m not going to argue with you, that’s just a fact. Boogie Nights, The Big Lebowski, Far from Heaven, Still Alice. Does it sound like the woman doesn’t know what she’s doing?

And yet, she completely surpassed herself during her appearance on Billy on the Street.

If you’re not familiar with Billy on the Street, you should be. Hilarious and uncomfortable (and on SBS 2 and SBS On Demand), the show features Billy Eichner running around New York City quizzing strangers on pop culture for small amounts of money, sometimes with a celebrity guest. Here, Billy takes Moore to Times Square and has her act for tips from tourists. She delivers powerful monologues from her films, she cries on cue, she recalls Golden Globe and Oscar nominations. It's a tour de force:

It’s worth pointing out – and celebrating! - that Julianne Moore does NOT mind crying in her movies.
