Joining the ranks of TV's sexiest detectives is Aurelio Zen (above). Played by Rufus Sewell, he's the title character of new British-made, Italian-set crime drama Zen, which is based on the novels by Michael Dibdin. 

He's hardly the first though - TV history is littered with easy-on-the-eye cops and sleuths-for-hire. Men and women who are so attractive it hardly matters that the crimes they investigate are some of the most despicable acts known to humanity. Check out some of the hottest below.
