With this whole Trump VS Hilary grudge match in the main arena, it’s easy to forget that Obama is still leading the free world.

Thanks to Samantha Bee, we get that reminder in the most hilarious possible way.

Here, we pick our favourite bits of Samantha Bee’s interview with President Barack Obama.

1. The titles

The tone was set from the outset with a patriotic title-card that turns a very The Simpsons kind of sinister.

2. Obama’s hair

Bee enquires about Barack’s greying hair with the line: “So is that like, white spray-paint, or fun Halloween cobwebs up there?, to which the President quips “Sam, I’m still President for about three months”.

She then mimics the President as one would to their annoying sibling.

3. The elephant in the room

Bee wonders why Obama chose to appear on Full Frontal:

“You are sitting down with a 47-year-old mother of three. If this was your best idea to get people to vote, what was your worst idea? Have you thought about going on Antiques Roadshow?”

Obama goes on to compliment the youth of today, claiming that they’re more engaged than people give them credit for.

4. The role-play

This prompts Bee to ask Obama to talk to her as if she was a millennial voter, while she adopts an over-the-top millennial voice, much to the president’s delight.

Her one-way roleplay includes the line “sorry, I was just snapchatting myself as a bottle-nosed dolphin”, which Barack reacts to in a specific fashion.

 5. Obama on Trump

After Bee asks “After you leave office, have you thought of just whispering in Donald Trump’s ear: you were right, I wasn’t born here, just to like, mess with him?”, Obama comes back with the smooth quip:

“I think it’s fair to say that I will be organising my post-presidency where I’m not close enough to him to whisper into his ear.”

6. Obama’s spooky story

When asked to tell a scary story about what happens when people don’t vote, Obama simply states “Donald Trump could be president.”

For some reason it sounds that much more ridiculous coming out of Obama’s mouth.

7. Bee and Obama out

To see out the interview, Bee asks Obama for something we would all love to experience. A big fist bump.

Look how happy she is.
