Set in Melbourne’s outer-west, Sunshine stars Wally Elnour as Jacob Garang, a  young South Sudanese-Australian basketball player whose dreams of playing in the NBA hang in the balance when he’s drawn into a criminal investigation. Police are hunting down the perpetrator of a violent assault, which has left a young teenage girl in a coma fighting for her life, and a group of young men fighting for their innocence.

The drama is gripping, with the mood heightened by the shows stellar R&B and hip hop soundtrack. You can listen to a collection of tracks used in the show now:


Sunshine will air over two big weeks, premiering Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 October at 8.30pm on SBS. You can watch an encore screening on SBS VICELAND at 9.30pm or stream it online on SBS On Demand.
