With the second season of The Good Fight due imminently, there’s no better time to catch up on season one, all of which is streaming on SBS On Demand right now.

If you did watch the opening season of The Good Wife's spin-off, but need a little refresher, here are the key plot points you should be across going in to season two.

One year after she slapped Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) in the final moments of The Good Wife, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) dreamed of retiring in luxury

She even announced her plans to her partners at Lockhart Gardiner (or whatever it ended up being called)

But then she lost all her money in a ponzi scheme run by some old friends and her firm wouldn’t take her back

Diane dusted herself off and landed a new job…

…at a predominantly African-American law firm working with named partner Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo)

Another named partner, Barbara Kolstad (Erica Tazel), wasn’t that happy about Diane’s appointment at first

Diane even got her newly accredited goddaughter, Maia (Rose Leslie), a job at Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad

Maia’s dad was the one who lost Diane’s savings, while her mother was trying to hide her affair with a family friend

Also working at Diane’s new firm was Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), who had some useful advice for Maia

Lucca was as feisty as ever

That quality won her the attention of prosecutor Colin Morrello (Justin Bartha), but they ultimately couldn’t make their romance work

Diane’s love life was also complicated as she and estranged husband Kurt (Gary Cole) tried to get things back on track

Another character returning from The Good Wife was Marissa Gold (Sarah Steele)

She, however, is that funny, and bugged the firm’s in-house investigator, Jay (Nyambi Nyambi) to let her learn the ropes

The season ended with Maia’s dad fleeing the country and Maia being arrested instead

Season 2 of The Good Fight airs Wednesday nights at 9:40pm on SBS and can also be streamed anytime at SBS On Demand:
