"Any solution to this problem has to start from the premise that children should not go to jail. I know, I'm such a radical leftist", Bee proclaimed at the start of her show.

We all knew that this week Samantha Bee would have the US family separation immigration issue in her laser-like focus. But who knew she would have such a radical opinion on the matter.

As we all expected, Bee is scathing of Trump in the show over the issue, but also saves a number of barbs for Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, pushed out in front of the public as the face of the policy. Bee has considerable fun at her expense, at one point comparing her language to the villainous Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

While Bee certainly lays into Nielsen, along with Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kellyanne Conway for being complicit in defending the policy, Bee lays the blame at Trump, Jeff Sessions, John Kelly, and Stephen Miller who are responsible for the policy, but have been nowhere to be seen in public this week.

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee airs Thursday night at 8:30pm on SBS VICELAND. You can also stream the show at SBS On Demand:
