If you're anything like us, there is always a sense of confusion once you finish watching a great run of a TV series. You'll go through many stages - anger, disbelief, and a hunger... a hunger for something new to watch. Rest assured that we won't let you just wander the streets looking for something new to watch on your screens - The Handmaid's Tale might be done for another season, but that doesn't mean we don't have something that might be exactly what you're looking for right now.

The Handmaid's Tale excelled in delivering great drama, complex adult relationships, and alternate ways of considering the world around us. Thankfully, that's what we do here at SBS On Demand. Here's a few suggestions on getting started on your next obsession:

Next of Kin

The contemporary drama follows London doctor Mona Harcourt (Archie Panjabi, The Good Wife) whose life is shaken to the core when a bomb goes off in London on the same day that her brother is abducted and murdered in Pakistan. When her nephew becomes linked to both the bombing and his father's murder, Mona has to face the ultimate dilemma: how far would you go to keep your family safe?

This high-octane thriller follows the events leading up to a terror-attack in Scandinavia. Borgen's Birgitte Hjort Sørensen stars as Victoria, a brilliant drone engineer who is taken hostage by terrorists in her own home, while the Secret Services in Denmark and Sweden are fighting against the clock to prevent an attack.

Set in 1814, this dark family mystery stars Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road) as James Keziah Delaney, a haunted man who returns home to London after ten years in Africa to inherit what is left of his father's shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But his father's legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Taboo premieres on SBS On Demand on Monday, July 16.

This new espionage series explores a mysterious world hidden beneath the surface of our everyday existence... Howard Silk (J.K. Simmons), a lowly cog in a Berlin-based UN spy agency, discovers that his organisation safeguards the secret of a crossing into a parallel dimension, where the only man he can trust is his near-identical counterpart from this parallel world.

Bad Banks

After being wrongly fired from a prestigious bank in Luxembourg, young and ambitious Jana finds her dream job at a competing bank in Frankfurt, thanks to the unexpected help of Christelle Leblanc, her former boss. While Jana quickly manages to impress her new team, she realises that Leblanc has secretly been manipulating her to her own advantage. Will Jana survive this merciless power play?

The Good Fight

With the world going insane and the Chicago murder rate on the rise, Diane, Lucca, Maia and the rest of the law firm find themselves under psychological assault when a client at another firm kills his lawyer for over charging. After a copycat murder, the firm begins to look at its own clients suspiciously.

In this atmospheric thriller, demoted Detective John Cardinal is brought back into Homicide when the hunch he wouldn't let go is proven correct. Now, as he relentlessly tracks a serial killer, he must keep a watchful eye on his new partner.

Spring Tide

1990. Under the glow of a full moon, a sadistic murder is committed on Nordkoster island - a young pregnant woman is buried in the sand, so that she slowly drowns as the tide rises. 25 years later, the case remains unsolved. Olivia Rönning is assigned the case to work on, as cold-case training at the Police Academy. Olivia becomes obsessed with the murder when she discovers that her father, who died several years ago, worked on the original investigation.
