Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is a virtual background?
It’s a video call feature that places an image behind you. Zoom is the most well-known video conference platform to offer this, with similar offerings on Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex. On Zoom you can also set a video as a virtual background.
How do I setup a virtual background?
Follow the official instructions for your preferred platform:
- Zoom
- Microsoft Teams
- Cisco Webex for iOS
It’s not working!
Unfortunately some devices don’t support virtual backgrounds. Search the video platform’s support pages (linked above) to see if they can help. Or if it’s an emergency, you could try printing out a large copy of the image and sticking it on a wall behind you. Enjoy the show!
