Bergensbanen Train Journey
This first foray by NRK (Norway's public broadcaster) into Slow TV makes it the original revolutionary minute-by-minute slow TV journey. The inaugural broadcast was planned as part of the 100-year anniversary celebrations of the Bergen Line (Bergen to Oslo), which is often hailed as one of the best train journeys in the world. Four cameras were used to produce the documentary, showing both exterior and interior views, along with interviews with crew, train conductors, historians, past workers and passengers. The train went through 182 tunnels. Archival clips from the Bergen Railway's 100-year history were shown when the train passed through tunnels, to make the final show last exactly as long as the train trip.

But it's not all trains...
Hurtigruten Boat Journey
Get your sea legs ready for the Hurtigruten Boat Journey. The journey is a coastal voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes aboard the Norwegian Coastal Express (Norwegian: Hurtigruten) ship MS Nordnorge. A total of 11 cameras – including three fixed, a bow camera and a gyro stabilised Cineflex camera – recorded the journey. Experience Norway's beautiful fjords and charming ports all from the comfort of your home.

Telemarkskanalen Boat Journey
Drift along Norway's Telemark Canal aboard the MS Victoria as it sails through a series of locks and past points of interest between Skien and Dalen. The MS Victoria has been in service for 130 years, and she has served passengers like Vidkun Quisling (military officer and politician) and the Norwegian resistance group Milorg during the Second World War. Now, she is serving thousands of Norwegian and international travellers up the Telemark Canal.
It is a beautiful journey with spectacular scenery through locks and open lakes. It encapsulates all of Norway in one small journey. Look out for highlights along the way such as Fjågesund where human activity dates back to 2800–3500 BC. Carved into a hillside you'll see the monogram of King Oscar II and the mineral field Fensfeltet where many rare metals have been discovered.
Watch Telemarkskanalen Boat Journey Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June at 12PM on SBS VICELAND (the 10-hour journey is split over two days, 5 hours each day). It will be available at SBS On Demand after broadcast until June 30.
