Hoarders

Behind the front doors of these people’s homes is the immediate evidence of various items – from collectibles to containers to outright rubbish – having taken over their lives, and in some cases, their family’s lives. Take Becky, whose monthly fees for 16 full storage units have sent her into debt. Living with her son and his fiancé, she’s started hoarding there too, and they’ve had enough. A therapist, a professional organiser and a cleaning crew do their best to handover tools to help our hoarders regain balance in their lives.

Season 4 of Hoarders airs weekly on Fridays at 8.30pm from 3 September on SBS VICELAND. All four seasons are also streaming at SBS On Demand.

Reset

Host Dexter Thomas reveals the untold stories of the video game industry and meets the people changing how we play today. From the secret histories of your favourite games to how gaming impacts popular culture, Dexter’s got it covered.

'Reset' explains why video games are the future of almost everything
From military recruiting to lockdown entertainment, it’s video gaming’s world – we just live in it.

The UnXplained with William Shatner

There is something reassuring about William Shatner’s voice, thankfully, as he guides us through some of the world’s most fascinating, strange and inexplicable mysteries. Warning: may bring on goose-bumps. Scientists, historians and witnesses all offer compelling contributions to shed light on the impossible, but perhaps there is magic in some things remaining a mystery. The new season premiere kicks off with an exploration of The Oak Island Curse (a good one for fans of The Curse of Oak Island, also screening on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand).

The new series of The UnXplained with William Shatner airs on Sunday nights at 7.40pm from 5 September on SBS VICELAND. All 8 episodes are also streaming at SBS On Demand.

Reclaiming Amy

It’s been a decade since Amy Winehouse’s death. Now, her mother Janis, father Mitch and closest friends open up about their beloved Amy in this documentary. "You think you know my daughter, the drugs, the addiction, the destructive relationships ... but there was so much more," says Janis. "It often feels like the Amy we knew has been lost." Here, her friends and family tell the lesser-known side of the Amy Winehouse story.

Reclaiming Amy airs on Monday 20 September at 10.15pm on SBS VICELAND. Watch it now at SBS On Demand.

Life And Death Of A TV Presenter

Caroline Flack shot to stardom as the hugely popular co-host of Britain’s The X Factor before going on to host Love Island. Originally about the aftermath of Flack losing that job after being arrested for allegedly assaulting her partner, the documentary shifted gears when Flack took her own life, aged 40. Flack was a long-time target of tabloid headlines; social media was also ferocious with her post-arrest. Here, her mother Christine and twin sister Jody speak about their beloved Carrie, from her childhood to turbulent emotional upheaval to fame and beyond.

Life And Death OF A TV Presenter airs on Wednesday 22 September at 8.30pm on SBS VICELAND. Watch it now at SBS On Demand.
