Sensual. Powerful. Dangerous.

Film: Red Nights (2010, France/Hong Kong)

Horror Type: Assassins

Sensual Scorpios will love the dark, dangerous and powerful energy that simmers throughout Red Nights. Scorpios will totally empathise with how far villainess Carrie will go to get what she wants. But she's not obsessive, just passionate… right?

Fearless. Pure chaos. Bloody epic.

Film: Train to Busan (2016, South Korea)

Horror Type: Zombies

This action-packed zombie flick is crammed with chaos and perfect for an adventurous Aries. With heart-stopping (literally) moments keeping them on the edge of their seat, Aries will have a blast watching this with a friend… and no doubt discuss their own zombie survival plan afterwards. Bloody epic.

Confident. Forever young. A bunch of fun.

TV Series: Day of the Dead (2021, USA)

Horror Type: Zombies

When the zombies attack, we all want a Taurus on our side. Confident and relaxed, they are excellent at strategising a solution to every problem. However, be warned, once a plan is in place Taurus do not like to deviate. Taurus love having fun and therefore certainly will love Day of the Dead.

Day of the Dead season 1 episodes 1–3 premiere fast-tracked at SBS On Demand at 5pm, Saturday 30 October with new episodes arriving weekly on Saturdays at 6pm (AEDT).

Multifaceted. Adaptable. Intelligent. Mysterious. The perfect vampire.

Film: A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014, Iran/USA)

Horror Type: Vampires

Adaptable, intelligent and mysterious; Gemini make perfect vampires. They are known to have trouble committing, which isn't always a bad thing when you're an ageless vampire. Multifaceted and completely unique (just like them), Gemini will love A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night.

Philosophical. Dreamy. Sensitive.

Film: Under the Skin (2014, UK)

Horror Type: Aliens

Compassionate Cancer will love the dreamy, philosophical and freaky film that is Under the Skin. Despite displaying a hard exterior, they can often can feel misrepresented or misunderstood. Combined with deep sensitivity and intuition, you might even say they are perfect masters of disguise.

Survivalist. Innovative. Leader. Big main character energy.

Film: The Night Eats the World (2018, France)

Horror Type: Zombies

Front-and-centre Leo would have zero problems using their natural decision-making skills to stay alive in a zombie apocalypse. But if they're the only survivor, who will see them succeed? What a nightmare! Determined and a natural leader, let's face it… Leos are the main character.

Incredibly resourceful. Intelligent. Observant (great for surviving zombies).

TV Series: Fear the Walking Dead (2015, USA)

Horror Type: Zombies

Virgo are incredibly resourceful, intelligent and adaptable – just like Madison Clark from Fear the Walking Dead. Like Madison, Virgo work wildly hard for people they care for and are super observant. Not bad traits to have in the zombie apocalypse!

Fear the Walking Dead seasons 1–3 are now streaming at SBS On Demand.

Loyal. Hates being alone. Intuitive.

Film: Marrowbone (2018, Spain)

Horror Type: Ghosts

Libra are known to be the social butterfly of the Zodiac and hate being alone. Despite being terrible at keeping secrets, they would do so if it meant staying with their loved ones, just like the Marrowbone family. Libra hate conflict, so avoid a disagreement on movie night and check this one out.

Poetic. Hell-bent on revenge. A little spooky.

Film: The Woman in Black (2012, Canada/UK)

Horror Type: Ghosts

Holding a grudge and seeking vengeance? Please, The Woman in Black has Scorpio written all over it. Dark, aesthetically pleasing and straight-up poetic, this movie is a scream. But let's be honest Scorpio, you're just a bit bloody spooky.

Hilarious. Adventurous. Afterlife of the party.

Film: Dead Snow (2009, Norway)

Horror Type: Zombies (of the Nazi kind)

Spunky Sagittarius will love the absolutely bonkers ride that is Dead Snow. Skiing. Woollen jumpers. Nazi zombies. Need we say more? Just like the film, Sagittarius are hilarious and the afterlife of the party. So, call up the horde and settle in for a night of chills and thrills with this awesome flick.

Elegant. Organised. An absolute pro.

Film: Rampant (2018, South Korea)

Horror Type: Zombies

It's time to take a break from work, Capricorn, and immerse into the action-packed, regal world of Rampant. Capricorns are ambitious, organised and skilled at what they do. No doubt a hard-working Capricorn could come up with the solution to keep a zombie outbreak at bay.

Original. Free-thinker. Properly quirky. Definitely believes in aliens.

Film: The Fourth Kind (2009, USA)

Horror Type: Aliens

Out-of-this-world Aquarians are known as the properly quirky sign of the Zodiac. Original free-thinkers, they love sci-fi and have their own unique theories on many things as a result of their analytical nature. Perfectly balancing fact and fiction, Aquarians will love the mystery that envelops The Fourth Kind

The Fourth Kind airs on NITV at 8:30pm, Thursday 28 October and will be available to stream at SBS On Demand after going to air.

Creative. Ethereal. Emotive. Big witch energy.

Film: Suspiria (2018, Italy/USA)

Horror Type: Witches

Pisces are known to be the most magical of the Zodiac, so it's no surprise they bring some big witch energy. Artistic and ethereal, Pisces thrive in creative environments where they can fully express themselves. However, the dancers of Suspiria are proving to be more sinister than sisterly.

Suspiria airs on SBS World Movies at 9:30pm, Monday 18 October and is available to stream at SBS On Demand after going to air – but hurry! It's only available for 30 days.
