It’s the middle of December. And that means culture pundits all over the world are scrambling to take stock of 2018’s screen content. What was the best movie or TV show of the year? What were the major disappointments? 

Fueled by scorching hot takes, it’s a listicle free-for-all that declares winners and losers in a game that doesn’t exist. And it’s a game that SBS film & TV editors Fiona Williams and Nick Bhasin are not above playing.
