Australians may be called to the federal polling booths soon with political rumours swirling around a possible date as early as July. Many voters will be taking the usual short drive or walk to the local school, church or community hall to cast a ballot with their neighbours.

This map looks at polling stations across the country showing local ballot results of the 2013 federal election. Take a look at election outcomes from the local stations in your neighbourhood, or zoom out to see city and statewide patterns. Find out how many votes your local competing candidates won. Did your local polling station endorse your current local member? Are you in a region supporting new and unconventional independent politicians or are you maintaining the status quo?
