Tu Tu, a refugee from Thai-Burmese border

Tu Tu, a refugee from Thai-Burmese border arrived in Australia 10 years ago but has not yet become a citizen of the country.

The 63 year old has submitted an application requesting for an Australian citizenship in 2017, 8 years after he arrived in the country.

He arrived in Melbourne in 2009.

October 26, on "Super Saturday", Brimbank City Council held a citizenship ceremony for 600 recipients.

Tu Tu, also was hoping to receive the citizenship certificate as he also lives in Brimbank City Council.
