Aid groups push for gender equality in white paper

A number of Australian aid groups are calling for gender equality to be a key focus of the Federal Government's new policy document on foreign affairs.It has been 14 years since the last foreign-policy white paper was released.The new paper will be the third ever produced and will set out the framework for Australia's foreign policy over the next decade.Biwa Kwan reports.

The Government is sifting through over 9,000 submissions.

A number of them have called for a focus on gender equality.

Care Australia chief executive Sally Moyle explains why her organisation did.
