Support for the Socialists falls seriously by about 120,000 votes
The loss at the European Parliament elections has led to rising conflicts in the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), including the resignation of its leader Kornelia Ninova.
After the European elections, the BSP has one more MP in Brussels and the party leadership reported it as a victory, although in real votes the support for the Socialists dropped by about 120,000.
Will the largest opposition party in Bulgaria manage to recover in the remaining few weeks before the race for the local elections commence in the autumn?
