Campaign launched to highlight health issues migrant women face

Manufacturing workers in Sydney

Migrant advocates have launched a campaign to highlight the challenges women of diverse ethnicities face in accessing health services. Multicultural Health Week in New South Wales is focusing on bridging barriers to quality care. Hannah Sinclair reports.

Experts say shifts in migration patterns have changed our requirements of the health care system.

More women than ever before are migrating to Australia alone - either as refugees or skilled workers, and this demographic has special requirements for health care.

For carers, the benefits of staying strong and healthy will be passed on to those who need her most.
