Victoria

Victoria has recorded 507 new locally acquired cases, and one death.

Premier Daniel Andrews outlined a five-step roadmap out of restrictions. Lockdowns will end when 70 of the state’s eligible population is fully vaccinated, which is expected to be around 26 October. “We are reopening, and there will be no turning back” Mr Andrews said. By Christmas Day, up to 30 visitors will be allowed to the home, if 80 per cent vaccination rates are met

Data shows at least 71.2 per cent of eligible Victorians have had one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 43.5 per cent are fully vaccinated.
