A female teacher has been suspended from teaching for two years as she fell asleep in a drunken stupor several times at school.
The teacher took Valium with vodka before the class and fell unconscious in the class on multiple occasions from 2016 to 2018.
Queensland's Civil and Administrative Tribunal has banned the teacher from teaching for two years and ordered her to undertake treatment for alcoholism, as it found she demonstrated a pattern of behaviour that "exposed vulnerable children in her care to considerable risk".
However, some make a strong argument that the teacher should have been banned from the classroom and she has to go through a strict process in order to be back to school.
