Here's what residents can do if getting 'calls from AFP demanding money'

AFP Detective Superintendent Jayne Crossling says they have come across reports where scammers allegedly mimicked the official phone numbers of the federal agency to demand money from residents. Ms Crossling says residents should not respond to such calls or follow the message prompts to call back. She says the AFP and the Australian government never seek payment for fines or other matters over the phone.
