As Christians including Assyrians around the world celebrated the holy day of Easter, many Assyrian families in northern Iraq who are facing economic hardship stopped from doing the traditional Easter sweets (killecheh) because of the high rise in ingredients prices like wheat, butter, nuts and other important ingredients.
Our correspondent Naseem Sadiq in this special report talks about him, with the help of some local and overseas donors, managed to supply many needy families with the much-needed ingredient, so their children will have the joy of celebrating Easter with the traditional killecheh.
This report was recorded on video via Zoom and will be published on our website soon in a few parts, where more details about Assyrians' living standards, will be discussed and explained by Naseem Sadiq.
