Melbourne conference seeks to empower African women in the Diaspora

Conference delegates in Melbourne

The inaugural African Diaspora Women's Summit was held in Melbourne 0n 26-27 June 2017.The event brought together dozens of African academics, entrepreneurs, youth and community leaders as well as prominent speakers from Australia, the African Union head office in Addis Ababa, and several others from around the world.The objective of the summit was to empower African women in the Diaspora.Event convenor Dr Mimmie Claudine Ngum Chi Watts.Bertrand Tungandame spoke with her at the conference.
