Opioid-related drug use kills three Australians each day

More than one in 10 people have used illegal opioids or misused prescription drugs, with the number of deaths doubling over the past decade.

The report's author, Doctor Lynelle Moon, says it's pharmaceutical drugs, like codeine, which are most responsible for harm increases over the past decade.
