The Parliament of NSW is expected to debate a bill banning the open display of Nazi symbols in that state, in June this year, legislation which also differentiates the use of the Nazi swastika from that used by certain Asian religions or for display in museums and/or for educational purposes.
The Executive Council of Australian Jewry has condemned a speaker at a recent United Australia Party rally on the lawns of Parliament House in Canberra, who expressed antisemitic conspiracy theories about the Union Jack found in the corner of the Australian national flag.
Five Jewish students who had experienced antisemitic abuse, harassment, and violence at the Brighton Secondary College between 2013 and 2020, have begun legal action against the Victorian Government over their treatment at the school.
