Senate committee launches inquiry into Australia-Africa trade relations

Last month (on 13 June) the Australian Senate asked its Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade References Committee to undertake an inquiry into Australias trade and investment relationships with the countries of Africa.Submissions to this inquiry close on 18 August 2017.The committee will report to the senate by 14 February 2018.South Australian senator Alex Gallacher is chairman of the committee, and he explained to Martin Kwakwa why this inquiry was necessary.
