Skills Hairdressing: If the Federal Government cuts hairdressing from the Skills Migration List, the industry will face shortages of staff.

Hundreds of hairdressing businesses have expressed fear of experiencing shortage of staff if the Federal Government proceeds with a plan to remove the profession from the Skills Migration List.

The changes is flagged for the 31st of March.  The industry leaders believe it could have big ramification when that happens.  According to the Australian Hairdressing Council, hundreds of jobs will be lost and small businesses in the industry will struggle.
