Mayu Kataoka Source: Mayu Kataoka

Mayu Kataoka, now a Sydney-based photographer, decided to change her career and become a professional photographer after she had a fateful encounter with a eucalyptus tree in Sydney. Mayu's work mainly consists of native trees and flowers in Australia. Mayu tells us why she chooses them as her photographic subject and talks about current and upcoming exhibitions with other Sydney-based artists, Masayo Colley and Midori Furze. The exhibition with Masayo, a graphic designer, is held at KINTARO restaurant in Neutral Bay until the 11th of June. From the 28th of June to the 9th of July, the exhibition with Midori will be held at the Creative Space in North Curl Curl.
