The pill testing debate: Waging a war against drugs in Australia and Serbia

John and Julie Tam, parents of Joshua Tam who died at Lost Paradise music festival in 2018, speak to the media outside of The Coroner's Court of NSW.

Pill testing and drug legislation are polarising topics in many countries. While some governments have welcome testing of psychoactive substances at music festivals and gatherings, others are still weighing out pros and cons. Sofija Petrovic spoke to Irena Molnar, from Serbian organisation RE:generation about what steps Serbia is taking to prevent youth from dying of drug overdoses. She was also joined by Dr. Nicole Lee, from 360 Edge, to discuss drug use and fatality in Australia.
