Australias African community can rightly boast of a few social events in, I believe, every state and territory.  But theres one such event that has almost gone unnoticed - at least on this program - even though its been around for about five years. Sounds of Afro Beat festival will be held in October 2017 at a North Sydney hotel. Yes, Afro Beat - the genre of African music that had the late Nigerian star Fela Anikulapo Kuti as its high priest.  Festival director and promoter Yaw Junior explains to Martin Kwakwa why huge numbers have been turning up for the outdoor event.
